A little bit about our club:

2011 Fun Facts Report on the Tara Beekeepers

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2011 Picnic
Every year, our club has a picnic in May or June.  It's a potluck affair, where members bring their
favorite salads, side dishes and desserts, and the picnic coordinators have traditionally arranged for
the grilled meats, ice & drinks, as well as the paper/plastic products.  There are always fun contests
and exciting door prizes.  As a new member, "bee" sure not to miss this fantastic, annual event!
2011 Holiday Party
Every year, our club has a party on the first Monday evening in December.  It's a catered affair,
where members register to attend and, starting in 2012, VIPs (members who brought a dish to one of
the monthly meetings during the year) receive a free ticket.  There is a much anticipated quarterly prize
drawing, plenty of door prize drawings, and volunteers who supported the club during the year in
various capacities are recognized.  The Tara Beekeepers Association's "BEEKEEPER of the YEAR
Award" is announced.  There is a hilarious White Elephant gift exchange, and a good time is had by all.
This is, perhaps, the most talked-about event of the year.  As a new member, you simply can't miss this
outrageous, annual event!
